Yes, please post some pictures and comments!
It may be informative on how to build such a mount with built-in
adjustability to get the axes located properly.
...and for the excess weight issue...we can always figure out how to reduce
weight when we see the pictures. My main concern is mount fabrication to
high tolerance - placement of axes.
