Hm, yes pretty fast but I wouldnt say too fast. In this ratio a corrector
of the kind paracorr is indeed mandatory or the ugly coma will spoil your
field of view.
If it is a very good parabola, you are a lucky man and you may have much
pleasure with it. But you will have to spend enough $$$ for good eyepieces
and a corrector.
Or you can do a cassegrain/nasmyth or gregorian/nasmyth, which avoids to
pierce the primary... but there the system focal ratio will be much higher.
Depends if you want to view more DSO or more the planets...
