| subject: | 2.72D Firmware & speedshifts |
Hi All,
I've been playing around with the latest firmware, 2.72D, with
33.6k support. The retrain / speedshift stuff seems a bit strange.
For a start the retrain EQM value is fixed at 96. This value is stored in
s115. What happens with s33? They have labeled it as v34, but it is
ignored.
Also what about this stuff:
Speed EQM:hx av > < T1 T retr Dbm S10 S09 Rx-Er Tx-Er C=retrain
28800 1390 000 055 016 030 000 096 027 018 118 00037 00002L
For what I can see the T value will count up from 0 until it reaches T1,
at which stage it will do a speed shift if the EQM is in the wrong region.
Setting T1, s124, to a low value will cause it to do speed shifts more
often, like a courier.
However after doing a shift S09 will count down from about 120 to 0,
taking quite a few seconds, and only when it reaches 0 will it consider
anymore shifting.
During this time the L flag appears.
So what is S09 and is there any way to reduce it's countdown?
