Is it possible that the stress is in the projector lenses rather than the mirror
? Does it move with the mirror?
If it is in the blank, it might be possible to reanneal it, but of course
you need access to a high temperature oven capable of carrying out the
annealing schedule. And you have to know the annealing schedule for the
size and type of glass.
