I'm not Tech Support but I might be able to help. Send this command to your
modem ATI8 and see what modem you have. If you have a VFC 28.8 and the ISP
has a V34 28.8 modem this could be your problem as for some reason they are
not very reliable at connecting and staying connected. If you and your ISP
has V34 then I'm not sure.
