From: "Bob May" To: "atmlist" Reply-To: "Bob May" While electronics does march on rather quickly and 6 year old technology is often old stuff, the algorythms for computer control of a telescope are rather standard and have been known for many years. Our own Mel Bartels has a page on computerizing a telescope with all of the schematics and software ready to build and install on your telescope and an old PC. The board is a bit on the large size for the interface to the motors but it does work well and uses common parts that are still quite available. Like you, I have generally found that books on electronic projects are usually almost obselete by the time that they come out.
