So the DOS partition is fine and no files are missing? Have you run CHKDSK or similar tool? > And due to the missing autoexec.bat and config.sys from my partition I have a > less than stellar configuration and missing out on memory hungry programs. > Where can I find how to burn an iso with my own autoexec.bat and config.sys? > Why is my dos partition not working? Any ideas? You may want to try refreshing the Master Boot Record using FDISK (FDISK should make a copy for you) and set the DOS partition active. If DR-DOS boots fine then, it is some problem with GRUB. Later you would have to re-install and configure GRUB, of course. But error messages and CHKDSK report would indicate whether the action described above makes sense.
