Can you describe the problem more precisely? Do you get any error messages?

So the DOS partition is fine and no files are missing? Have you run 
CHKDSK or similar tool?

You may want to try refreshing the Master Boot Record using FDISK (FDISK 
should make a copy for you) and set the DOS partition active. If DR-DOS 
boots fine then, it is some problem with GRUB. Later you would have to 
re-install and configure GRUB, of course. But error messages and CHKDSK 
report would indicate whether the action described above makes sense.
