The download versions are binary and source. That is because of the GPL 
licence.

If you know DOS well, you may do a hand install. Comfig and autoexec do 
have some different syntax for a few programs, but not too much. Just 
one example: instead of scandisk, there is dosfsck ported from a recent 
version, probably more stable then scandisk ever was.

Memory managemnt is 99.9% compatible, there is HIMEM, EMM386, VCPI, etc...

Join the list, it is active. Version 1.1 will probably be out this month :)
