-=> Quoting Lee Randall to All <=- LR> I was given a warp ver3 and am having trouble getting it going on my LR> machine. I have a 486 (586), amibios, 8 meg ram, 250meg spare on the LR> hard disk (Quantum),1meg s3 graphics card running a vga monitor. I LR> can't get past the installation disk, I do get the os2 logo then after LR> a bit more loading the machine hangs. The cursor is left in the top LR> left hand of the screen and thats it time for a re-boot. I do have Dos LR> and win3.1 on the hard disk. LR> Any constructive suggestions please? More info is needed here ie: are you installing from a two floppys and CDROM(probably)? What type of CD Drive do you have? A stab in the dark I would say it is a CDROM Driver problem the latest drivers can be obtained from any good OS/2 BBS or even directly from IBM BBS in Sydney. How long did it sit there doing nothing before you rebooted it? I could be wrong about the CDROM Driver,If I read you right you say you only get to the first Disk. You could try turn off the internal and external cache in the BIOS as recomended in the trouble-shooting Docs. Then turn it on again after the install. Are you using Disk compression ? NO NO NO! Only Stacker for OS/2 will work and I doubt you have that.
