| subject: | Glucose Meter |
After the discussion about the Glucose meter and receiving one from the doc. I just ran out of my old strips and started using the new Freestyle lite Meter. I don't know if it will hold up like the accu check II did, but must say I am impressed with it so far. Different lancets for this one, I don't even feel these. Accu Checks were the regular lancets and with 4 times a day checking, they started to smart from time to time. The free styles, I hear a noise as the trigger pops but don't feel it so that is a plus. You can take readings from just about anywhere with this, not just fingers, but I am comfortable with the fingers. And it takes about 5 seconds for a reading instead of about 30 or so with the old meter. It comes with a nice small case with a belt loop. I hope it has the endurance of the accu. I would definitly recommend...
