From: "Ulhas Deshpande" To: "Vladimir Galogaza" , "ATM" Reply-To: "Ulhas Deshpande" Vladimir Mineis a lap with a stone Granite base. I keep it in the oven at approx 70 deg for half hour. Then hot press and keep the lap and mirror under 20 lbs for almost four to five hours before work. This should take care of all stabilisation problems, hopefully Thanks Ulhas ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vladimir Galogaza" To: "Ulhas Deshpande" Sent: Tuesday, 17 June, 2003 16:18 Subject: Re: ATM Polishing Lap > Ulhas, > > >I have to keep hot pressing again and again. > > Cold pressing will be better because hot pressing brings > lot of stress to the lap and if its temperature is not stabilized > ( like in cold pressing) its shape is perhaps not what you would expect. > > Vladimir. > > > --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-4* Origin: Email Gate (1:379/100) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/100 1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
