Hi Kim,

 KF>> I have a NetComm InModem 28800 (V.Fast), and wan't to run it at
KF>> 57600Bps. What do I have to do to my Init's? And my BNU line?

AM> 57600 is the speed that the port is running at- you cannot get your
AM> modem to run at 57600, it's 28800 and that's as fast as it'll go
AM> unless you upgrade to 33600.

KF> How come a fellow sysop of mine runs his 9600 at 14400 and
KF> also runs his 14400 on his second node at 28800.

 KF> Hmmm????

This is wrong. The speeds 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 and the like are all
port speeds. The modem cannot run higher than it's set to, well some US
Robotics modems can. If you can tell me how to do it, I'll try it, and if it
works, then I'll believe it. Otherwise it sounds like bull to me.

Alex
