I would have submitted a formal complaint.

I was in a study once and part of it was meeting with a dietician.  I
called the director of the study and told her that I wanted to see a
different dietician.  She asked why, and I told her that it was really had
for me to be comfortable getting advice on diet from comeone who was at
least 30 pounds overweight. 

A lot of the professionals have egoes bigger than box cars.  They just need
a kittle nudge to either get them on to the main track, or on a siding
where they can't harm too many folks.
