Try changing the "login" bit from above to "ogin" or
even "gin:" since I know that sometimes my system misses the
first couple of characters (doesn't come up quick enough or something) and
that can really screw scripts waiting for the full "login"
string.  Another problem may be that the other end uses "Login" -
it may be case sensitive...

I can't really help with any of the rest, not presently having a FreeBSD system...

Hmm, one thing...

Do you need another interface specified here for the PPP session, like say
"pp0" or something ?
