I'd have to agree... It killed me, she being a nurse thinking she knows 
better than the endocrinologist. I will admit one thing though,I thought she 
was full of hot air one day when I told her he put me on byetta. He had put 
me on Byetta and byetta alone. but it was nice. Two shots a day. But my BS's 
were going up to about 240 and only coming down to 180. When I told her of 
this change, she said he needs to give You insulin along with Byetta. I told 
her he wasn't. She says he has to. I went and told him that and he said, 
Never mind, You don't need insulin with byetta, but he then put me back on an 
insulin regimen. which in the end worked out for the best. But the kicker 
and though I did not like her and hate to admit it. Our next meeting there 
was a byetta salesman in the office and he also said, that in 95% of the 
cases Byetta needs to be used with Insulin. Very rarely is it not. OTOH, I 
see now in the news Byetta is not such a good drug to use anyway. Maybe the 
Endo knew this and this is why he took me off of it so fast and put me back on 
Insulin.
