I just wrote a post that I have done this in past 48 hours or so. It nearly
polishes the glass. I used this to shape a tool to get a better fit to my
glass, rather than pressing the two together. I felt this worked better in
my situation with very fast mirrors, like F/1.0 to F/1.5 that I am working.
