From: "Bob May" To: "atmlist" Reply-To: "Bob May" Since the intensity of the diffraction also depends upon the distance between the two edges, causing the two diffractions caused by the edge, what is the effect of placing the two edges at a certain location apart so that the peaks of one difraction hit the valleys of the other edge? Is this a problem of finding the right distance between two edges for a particular telescope to minimize the power of the total diffraction and could it be possible to find a distance where the phase of the two edges cancel? Something that might be an interesting project to investigate?
