subject: Insulin injection site reaction

Hello, All.

Every time I inject insulin (I do rotate sites), it stings. Badly. Enough
to hum for about five to ten minutes after the injection. I've never any
swelling or other problems at the sites although occasionally blood will
come out of the injection site but that's rare. I use Novolin N when I
rise and retire to bed and Novolin R at meals or when I need to work on
getting the sugars down a bit.

I've always wondered why it stings so much-maybe I'm not injecting myself
properly. I mainly inject around my stomach since it works the fastest,
but I have been known to inject in my thighs before also. My wrists do not
work well enough for me to attempt to inject myself in the upper arms
though.

Later,
Sean

... Lost interest? It's so bad I've lost apathy.
