Hi Pete

Thanks for the note I see what you are saying about the init strings.
My problem was I got a new Netcomm Roadster 288 and also got Cooee
software with it when I set up the program and the Modem all I could get
was Baud rates of 9600 to 14000.

I got on to Netcomm and was given new init strings but that did not
improve things, I then tried a number of Init strings and that did
not improve.

to cut a long story short when I got Telix for windows it auto detected
the Zomm Modem and the init strings and I started getting connect rates
between 21000 and 26000 so I just stuck with the above strings and
decided to let it keep going the way it is.

Copied your messsage and will keep it just in case things go wrong.
