More like one day my boss says "you're going to update this 45k line
program to import/export this XML format. It needs to be done Friday".
This is tuesday and before that day I'd never even HEARD of XML. So I look
around for some documentation on what it is and how to work with it. Sure.
Yea, Right. _*/WHAT DOCUMENTATION!?/*_ But my boss doesn't care. No no no.
IT's simple. Get it done or don't get paid.

Yes this is good reason to hate my boss (and at times I DO, belive me I
do!), but it's also just as good a reason to HATE XML. If someone would
have produced a good document that explained how to use it other than just
as a text file (which is what I wound up doing. Loaded the entire thing
into memory and manipulated each line as a string/array of characters.
Sucked bad, but it worked and I got paid, although not in time to save my
house which we wound up having to sell before it was forclosed on us due to
the delay in my checks).

It boils down to this. Show me somethig done with XML and I'll show you
something that could have been done equally well (if not better!) WITHOUT
XML.
