RF> Best game of the year? That's a joke. There were games available
RF> for the PC that easily surpassed RE.
SI> It was called best game of '96. Name a game that is better in
'96.
Quake, Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within, Duke Nukem 3D, Tomb
Raider, Close Combat, Wing Commander IV...
RF> The plot is horrible! It's just too farfetched. I would suggest
RF> that N64's Shadows of the Empire had a better plot.
SI> Yeah Right! Have you been smoking something?
SI> Resident Evil's plot is
SI> really well done. At least it's not as far fetched as
SI> some far away galaxy
SI> where you have to save something.
And zombies are realistic? Last I heard, zombies were the creation
of the voodoo religion. Star Wars' universe could theoretically exist.
Resident Evil's main problem is that posits things that would *never*
happen. A combat team with the ludicrous acronym of S.T.A.R.S. happens to
stumble on a haunted mansion outside a town called "Raccoon City," and
discovers that zombies and other creatures roam the place because of hideous
scientific experiments (I'm sure real-life reasearchers would love to hear
about how to create a zombie). It's just totally preposterous.
