G'day fellow BBS users,



    I purchased a Netcomm SmartModem M34F some 6 months ago, I'd like to

    know if it's capable of being upgraded to 33k6 easily/cheaply (ROM

    upgrade?) or would it be more cost effective to buy a new one? It's a

    SmartModem M34F model SM3400 REN=1 Ser No 527100981



    Basically I'm happy with it, it generally connects to similar modems at

    28k8 but to the PCUGMAIL BBS for some reason it won't do better than

    26k4. Although to the PCUGIBM BBS it will do 28k8 more often than not.

    Lines or init string, not sure, tried those quoted here for it...
