Hi
I think that those that are building wire spiders should
take special note of the way the wires cross going from the secondary
holder to the cage. I've seen several examples where the wires were lead
outward instead. This isn't as stable as the crossed method. Take a stick (
pencil will do ) and attach strings to the end and try both methods. Note
how the stick has less freedom of movement with the crossed wires.
I'm not sure if Mel intentionally did it this way or if
he was more constrained by the cage size but I suspect it was both, knowing
Mel ( from the web ).
I just thought I'd make a note of that since it is an important
point.
