| subject: | warp 4 bootup |
warp 4 on my machine takes ages to boot up. Once running it is fine but during the bootup the IBM1S506 base device driver sit there doing very little that I can tell for 42 seconds before the rest of the boot process continues. For the first 30 seconds the the IDE I/O light is on constant yet there is know noise or other indication that any of the drives are being accessed at all, (8*Creative, 1.7G Seagate/Medalist, 212M Samsung/Apollo) then the light goes out and it continues to sit there for another 12 seconds before it gets it AintoG and finishes the Boot. This is pretty annoying considering my old 486 was booting warp 3 in less than 40 seconds. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.20 --- Maximus/2 3.00* Origin: Luck y BBS OS/2 in Bassendean WA (3:690/388) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/99 620/243 623/630 625/155 626/660 640/201 217 222 230 238 SEEN-BY: 640/254 257 297 299 302 305 309 311 370 375 386 547 702 820 821 822 SEEN-BY: 640/823 837 838 690/115 254 370 388 416 500 501 613 643 660 682 718 SEEN-BY: 690/750 711/401 413 430 934 712/311 407 505 506 517 623 624 704 841 SEEN-BY: 713/317 714/906 772/20 800/1 @PATH: 690/388 613 660 640/201 820 712/624 711/934 |
