The structure of the files on the archives is a monthly index followed by
the individual files.  The structure of each message is the format:
http://astro.umsystem.edu/atm/ARCHIVES/OCT95/msg00245.html
of which the first part is the basic address, followed by the directory
named for the month and year of the monthly archive and then finally the
message number, probably starting at mst00001.html and the messages appear
to be in a formatted HTML format so that it will index to pendant messages,
etc.
A little program that goes from the first month of the format to the
present for the month directory and then looking at the messages from 1
until you get a refusal should bring the entire archinve to your computer
in short order.
