Looks like the PGA Tour and its players need to give Tiger Woods a big wet
kiss. Their recent $100 million dollar per year contract (up from $40 per
year) wouldn't have been possible without Woods (Claims by some that golf was
doing quite well don't jive with the fact that ratings B.T.W. were DOWN and
that they're at or below 1995-1996 levels for 1997 tournaments without Tiger
and substantially up for 1996-1997 events with Tiger).

Just a little while and the NBA Draft Lottery order will be announced. Boston
has the inside track while Philadelphia has the option of trading picks with
Toronto (Which would only come in play if Toronto gets one of the top 3
picks). After Tim Duncan, I personally feel that Ron Mercer is the next best
pick. While fans of Keith Van Horn might take exception, I don't think that
he rates as a Top-10 pick. *IF* the lottery goes off as planned, I think that
these are the best picks for the lottery teams:
1. Boston - Tim Duncan
2. Vancouver - Chauncey Billups
3. San Antonio - Ron Mercer
4. Denver - Kelvin Cato
5. Philadelphia - Tony Battie
6. Boston - Derek Anderson
7. New Jersey - Antonio Daniels
8. Golden State - Tim Thomas
9. Toronto - Tracy McGrady
10. Milwaukee - Scot Pollard
11. Sacramento - Brevin Knight
12. Indiana - Jacque Vaughn
13. Cleveland - Keith Van Horne
