Back to the Roadster 33.6 modems - lucky me just bought 3 for the BBS, and
didn't realise they are a little troublesome to set up.

I tried using the init string you suggested
(AT&F&C1&D2%E2S0=0S95=47), but I find the modem eventually
appears to go back to sleep. All three of them do it, and it simply doesn't
acknowledge a RING at all.

Wondering if you would have any further ideas? I run RemoteAccess Pro,
FrontDoor 2.20ML and X00 2.01 as the fossil driver.

Any help would be appreciated.
