     Regarding upgrading an M34F (Netcomm)

JL> I had my M34F upgraded by bringing it back to their North Ryde Head

JL> Office in NSW, cost was $75, get a R/A number, post/or take onsite, be

JL> ready in a week mate, also for win95, to take advantage of 33k6 need

JL> their win95 netcomm modem drivers, as they have a description of

JL> Netcomm Smartmodem M34 (33600) Enhanced or whatever, only say 60kB.

JL> I personally have not found much benefit as to get 33600 it has to be

JL> near perfect line, it relies mainly on line rather than any benefit in

JL> new technology, most people find that they can only get on at the best

 JL> at 31200

     G'day Jason,

Thanks, appreciate the info, guess I'll leave it as is, doesn't seem

to be worth $75 for the minor boost in performance. I'll wait and see

     what happens with cable modems...

     Cheers, Peter H.
