Making Apps appear in NAL only at specific locations?
I'm building a WAN where it is benificial for the users to be in a
collective .OU.
Because they will be able to move into different locations, however and
have to rely on
different servers for standard support I would like to limit the
applications presented to
them to the closest local server. This is for when an application is
only offered at one
location. I thought that the best way to do this was to use the "system
requirement"
tab in the application leaf objects in NDS and provide a requirement
for a DOS
environment variable specific to the location (ie. HOME=LOCATION1 must
be
present or the app doesn't appear in the NAL provided list of apps).
The problem is that although an environment variable option exists under
the "add"
button, it is greyed out. Is there a problem with my installation of
the free version of
ZENworks, or is it only part of the licenced version, or is the problem
something else
entirely?
