Concerning _MODS_, Rodney Rudd said to Troy H. Cheek in ST_PROG:
TH>> Just keep reminding me and I'll eventually get to it...
RR>
RR> Okay, no hurry. I just don't want to be forgotten in the shuffle.
RR> When can I start beta testing that tank game you were working on?
Whenever I get it to betatesting stage. I don't think I've done more than an
hour's programming on it since I first mentioned it. It's all I can do to
keep up with work and Fidonet and my Jaguar games.
TH>> If you're still using TOS pre-1.4, I'd recommend an alternative
TH>> file selector for everyday use. I've encountered very few programs
TH>> that aren't compatible with alternative file selectors.
RR>
RR> So that means there must be something terribly wrong with the file
RR> selector built into TOS 1.0 and TOS 1.02?
Well, not "terribly" wrong. There are a couple of programs I've encountered
(like American Gold Tracker) that don't seem to like the older selectors, and
the newer ones are just generally more convenient. I've been using TOS 2.06
and replacement selectors for so long that I couldn't tell you what those
conveniences are offhand, though.
