From: "Bob May" To: "atmlist" Reply-To: "Bob May" Two different ways to get rid of that pesky little problem. The first is to put the hands one in front of the other rather than side by side and then when you do a stroke, it goes from the 1/3 off of center to center. DON'T go past the center! Apply pressure on the hand which is pushing the glass and is generally off of the lap. What this does is work the area from the approximate 1/2 zone out to the edge with the edge itself being mostly left alone. The second method is to put the lap on top and do chordal strokes like you did when you were originally carving out the hole. Make sure that when you are doing this stroke that the weight is balanced rather than mostly on the edge of the glass. This will work all of the surface to a larger radius again and will work. You want to have the lap about 1/3 - 1/4 offset from the center and you want fairly short strokes. The one hand in front of the other will work best here also.
