I purchased the modem over a year ago.
There are two memory chips with stickers on them saying 'NetComm
(C)1995,96', two others marked with Toshiba next to them.
That is certainly new.
On the top of the PCB is 0003 9528 94V-0 and at the bottom is PCB7082 REV D E.
It certainly doesn't look new.
The datapump is soldered in, pins on all 4 sides, same with the CPU.
I don't know what a 288 looks like, but on the above markings I don't
think I've got a new 288.
