As to the earth/moon, I'd suspect that tne increase of the moon in addition
to the earth will keep them basically in balance. As the weight of the
earth system increases, what happens to the velocity of the system in the
solar system?  If you consider random distribution of the velocities in the
system for external sources of dust and a bell shaped curve around the
speed of the earth for internal sources of dust, what happens to the speed
as the earth is gaining this material? Bob May
