From: "Jerry B. Hillman" To: Reply-To: "Jerry B. Hillman" Hi all, I used my circular saw and a carbide blade to cut the 3 rectangles I needed from the broken pieces. It took some time since I was cutting from the surface down a little bit at a time but by the time I got about 1/3" through the glass it would break on its own. Silicosis precautions observed. Thanks to Guy Brandenburg I got a test setup put together so I could look at interference fringes. So I guess I am off and running. All three pieces show some irregularity in the fringes. Primarily depressions. I don't know if they can be polished out or if I am going to have to grind them out. Any advice from out there??
