Hello folks
Its been a long time since I reported my progress. I have been stuggling to
get to the Parabola for the last six months or so. Twice I had to go back
to fine grinding coz every time I seemed to polish in a deep deep
crater.Well third time lucky, the crater was not so deep so I decided to go
slowly and try to hit a parabola while trying to climb out of the crater.
It seems I have almost succeeded. The mirror now tests to Strehl.887 with
RMS error of 15.1( as per Six Tests) and S = .865 with P-V of 1/4.17 as per
Fig XP. The SixTests file is below:
Test 211
203.0 0.0 Mirror, obstruction diameters (mm) Foucault
0.0 Source distance (0=moving source) y, mm X, mm
   24.6 2518.292
   39.5 2518.546
   56.8 2519.213
   71.6 2519.657
   84.1 2519.943
   95.8 2520.641
Some how the saved Setup file does not seem to have the result. But I am
sure the wizards in the group will be able to use this data and guide me
further.
NOW I plan to go with a small tool on the high zone at 60mm rad to bring
down the ridge and at 80 mm to shorten the edge. Wish me luck.
