YEp, I've seen that more than once.  sUddenly you call cq,
and if you get an answer you've suddenly got a pile up.
Worked an Australian one night on 20 meters, most folks
tuning through 20 must have thought the band was dead, about midnight. 
I"m sitting on 14300 just monitoring in case a
boat in trouble shouts.  Aussie calls cq, I answer, we chew
the rag, then of a sudden he's got a pile wanting to work
him.

MOre the medical community hadn't thought about it.  She
wasn't diagnosed for years when she should have been, and
then for years after diagnosis of diabetes they tried first
the treatment with the insulin, then the pills, finally her
endocrinologist (spelling)  in NEw ORleans in about 2003 got it all
together and they started a treatment regimen that
was actually controlling the sugars.
