bringing down (or restarting the server is definitly nescessarry.)
In case you are using INETCFG on the novell server you only have to choose
the 'reinitialize system' option within INETCFG.
Then you don't have to bring down your server. but still you have to do this
early i the mroning or late in the evening. (at moments with less network
traffic)
