This results from a shortcoming in the "MS Flex Grid Control"
which is the programming tool I used to do the job. There are some ways
around this. I may be able to make it respond to the keyboard as you
suggest, or, in a slightly more complex solution, to emulate in cell
editing. The latter would be best, because that is most like the behavior
of spreadsheet programs that many people already know.

Hmmm. When I tested it, it worked just the way I imagined it should.
Sixtests started up with the data already loaded. Knowing that it didn't
work that way for you means I need to go back and look at that part of the
code very critically. I may ask you more detailed questions after I look
at the code.

How does your tester work? Perhaps, if this is a reasonably common setup,
I should incorporate a way to deal with it.
