Hello Dave,

The NW 5.0 operating system will try to auto-install
a CD and "play-it" just like NT or Win95. However,
the machine must not be running himem.sys or any
other memory drivers. It must be simply a clean
dos machine without any memory management. Prepare
your DOS partition to be approximately your RAM+150 Meg.

If you've done this already, load the *.HAM and *.CDM
drivers from your STARTUP.NCF file. This file will be
used to configure all your device drivers. Then,
you will still need your mscdex.exe driver in your
autoexec.bat to call up your cdrom. Upon the installation
starting from a dos based CDROM driver, it will then
try to invoke a Netware CDROM driver, and ask you
if you wish to dis-engage the dos based driver.
You should probably answer "no" for a first time install.
Upon the install being completed, boot the machine
to DOS via pressing F5, bypassing the autoexec.bat.
You will then "rem-out" your dos based MSCDEX.exe
driver and Netware will invoke its own drivers upon
launching. Reboot, and your server operating system
will launch.

                        Alex
