| subject: | warp 4 bootup |
I had this problem, and know someone else who had it too. Different motherboard, different bramd of BIOs, one a Pentium and one a Pentium pro. I did sort of solve it by adding the /V switch, and then when it boots, at the very end you can see the parameters it uses. Add these parameters to IBM1S506.ADD and the delay goes. I just updated the flash BIOS on my machine (Award) and that has fixed the problem also, it boots through IBM1S506.ADD with no delay. I think it has something to do with a plug & play BIOS. I have two WD hard drives on the first IDE channel, and a CD on the second. I previously had the Warp 4 setup on a non plug & play 486 machine. I moved the drive to a new machine, and lo and behold the delay appeared, and the boot process was longer on a much faster machine. Now fixed as above tho cheers Ray SC>warp 4 on my machine takes ages to boot up.
