Download Tex from http://home.att.net/~mikel/ and see what it does. The
source code is there as well, and you are welcome to use it as is or for
ideas, of course. I also have some "cleaner" source code that
I've been working on, that you're welcome to. It's in C++,and not fully
tested, but most of the issues have been worked out already. Why reinvent
the wheel?

Tex labels the X and Y the same as you, but uses diffreent colored bars to
show confidence...

This is what TEX uses, but the user is given a chance to modify the std dev.

Yep. I had tons of fun (and learned tons of stuff) porting Tex to Linux.
