Don't know of anyone who does that non-commercially.

I only know that it can be hard to do as an amateur. There's the issue = of
annealing, which ideally should be taken slowly.

A good example of what can happen with poor annealing is the 100 inch =
Hooker, at Mt. Wilson. Because kiln's were really not available then (at =
least good electric driven ones) the French manufacturer buried the = glass
in manure to anneal it (See "The Perfect Machine," by Ronald =
Florence). As a result there was stratification within the glass; and =
bubbles.

However, maybe someone will be able to help you out. I hope so.
