Hi Ian

I rang Netcomm amd they want the modem back as it needs a
"hardware" fix.  I presume they want to pull the plug on the
internal speaker.

They said it would take about 7 - 10 days.  I believe that at the same time
they will upgrade it (the smartmodem 288) to 33.6 or whatever.

I haven't taken it in yet - something to do with withdrawal symptoms.
