Hi, does anyone know how Maximus's IPC files work? I want to change the
text indicating what each user is doing (transferring a file, available for
chat, external program, etc) so that if they're in a door, everyone else
knows which door. Is it safe to simply change the text starting at byte 38
in the IPC??.BBS, and put a null terminator on it, or can this move around?

Also, is this text ever used by Maximus for anything other than simply
displaying to the callers? ie if I change it, will Maximus get confused?
