| subject: | Changing USR country code |
Has anybody with an Austel Courier tried changing the country code so
that it thinks it is a US domestic model??? (or even activating x2 in
their Austel Courier??)
regards, Peter.

Hi All!
=== Cut ===
1. get from ftp.usr.msk.ru:
/pub/usr/misc/freelsd.zip - universal sdl loader
/pub/usr/misc/lsdl103.zip - sdl extractor
/pub/usr/x2-sdl/050297x2.* - original USR firmware (x2) for 20.16 Mhz
2. Commands:
loadsdl.exe sdl20.exe 1 2
int2bin.exe 1 x2.bin
3. Use: 'hiew.exe x2.bin' and this patch:
0000D8F1: 07 00
0001F42E: 00 01
0001F42F: 00 06
000240B6: 74 EB
00024F11: 75 EB
00024F12: D1 0C
4.
freelsd.exe /c1 /r x2.bin
^^^ (warning! com port of your modem is correctly?)
5. In any terminal program type:
at&f1&w
atgn
atc8=31
atnx
6. Now your modem is Courier v.evr with fu#king X2...
7. Bonus: s39 - change outlevel (for US/Canada), and this sdl work with
International models, and extra bonus quickly change country code:
atgn
atc10=??, ?? - is Country Code.
