I have a few questions concerning KTX 28.8 modems I am hoping somebody

here will be able to help me with , I bought a KTX 28.8 external in

October last year , not going but I have heard many and varied stories about

their reliablity and I am wondering if it is worth playing with.



Also would anyone know what the Austel approval numbers for the 28.8

externals are ?



and when the 28.8's were released in Australia , someone said it was

about May 1996 , I find this hard to believe as I was using a maestro

28.8 3 yrs ago , seems they were awfully outdated when they were released

if this is the case as 33.6's seem to have been around for a while now.
