G'day Daniel

DL> Cable modems ain't going to be that cheap, Telstra will make
DL> sure it has a monoploy on that product for some while yet.

Well USR make em (Courier I-Modem) so do Netcomm and i assume do alot
of others as well.

DL> So it would be quite a while before 64kps became inexpensive
 DL> enough.

Who knows, See what happens mid year.

DL> So the 56kps are half-duplex ... wow I thought does days where
DL> over so what speed does it run at when in full duplex ? 33.6 ?

AFAIK it's 56k in 33k6 out, not a true half duplex mode.

     Pete.
