    Rick,

For some reason I have a tendency to think that the seller's tape
measure is wrong. 1" thick plate
for table tops is very rare. I fell into the same sales pitch for a plate
glass table top 30"x 70" that was
supposed to be 1" thick. It seems that people using this thick glass
to hold their coffee cups think
that 3/4" is close enough to 1" to call it 1". I ended up
buying the glass because it was so green and
flat. I may be wrong on this and I hope I am, a 1" slab at 42"
dia is a nice catch of the day...
                                           Russ Jocoy
