Well, there's no such thing as a KTX modem. There are KTX labels and KTX
boxes, but there are only GVC modems, just as there are only AOC monitors.
The GVC 33k6 is rather mavericky internally but seems to work pretty well.
However - HOWEVER - there is a bug in one of the 33k6 ROM releases which
makes it nearly impossible to get a 33k6 connect. Apart from that, and
undue sensitivity to noise, the modems are "OK". Not flash, but
not appallingly bad either.
And I didn't buy them at HN, either. I've never even seen a HN store, is
there one in Melbourne?
