Steven, at 10:48 on Mar 08 1997, you wrote to Peter Collis... All future Courier SDLs will contain the x2 code, although whether or not that protocol will actually be functional depends upon the owner's willingness to pay USR for the privilege of actually enabling it in the modem. Note that if enabled, and an earlier non-x2 SDL is installed, x2 will no longer function (obviously), but reflashing the x2 SDL will reactivate it again. IOW, it's a once-only requirement that USR enable x2 in each Courier. Anyway, from what I've heard and read elsewhere, it should only be a matter of a couple of weeks or so before the precise method of enabling x2 becomes common knowledge on the net. :) Regards, Bill --- MsgedSQ/2 3.50* Origin: Logan City, SEQ (3:640/305.9) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/99 620/243 623/630 625/155 640/201 206 230 305 306 311 702 SEEN-BY: 640/820 821 822 823 829 711/401 413 430 934 712/311 407 505 506 517 SEEN-BY: 712/623 624 628 704 841 888 713/317 714/906 772/20 800/1 @PATH: 640/305 820 712/624 711/934 |
